Vensure Employer Services Strengthens Midwest Presence with Acquisition of EmPower HR

EmPower HR, a leading provider of professional employer organization (“PEO”) and HR services to employers, has been acquired by Vensure Employer Services (“Vensure”), the largest privately-held PEO in the United States. EmPower HR, based in Milwaukee, WI, provides holistic, high service payroll and HR solutions to employers and has offices in Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan and Ohio. This transaction significantly adds scale to Vensure’s Midwest footprint as the company continues its M&A roll-up strategy globally.  The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

EmPower HR has significantly invested in a robust sales team and built out its HR consulting services, resulting in several years of substantial organic growth. The firm has been a Inc. 5000 honoree every year for over half a decade and seen a strong uptick in demand for HR needs resulting from the pandemic.

Vensure, based in Chandler, AZ and serving more than 300,000 worksite employees, offers complete, end-to-end solutions for outsourced payroll, human resources, benefits, risk management, and workers’ compensation services. With its capital partnership with Stone Point Capital in 2021, Vensure has continued to pursue an aggressive M&A strategy to bolster its organic growth initiatives.
